Val-de-Vie (pronounced "val duh vee") is a small town, also called a commune, located in the northwest part of France. It is found in the department of Calvados. This area is famous for its beautiful countryside and history.
Val-de-Vie was created on January 1, 2016. It was formed when four smaller towns decided to join together. These towns were Sainte-Foy-de-Montgommery, La Brévière, La Chapelle-Haute-Grue, and Saint-Germain-de-Montgommery. The name "Val-de-Vie" means "Valley of the Vie." It is named after the Vie River , which flows through this lovely valley.
