Valdesquí is a fun ski area located near the town of Rascafría. You can find it in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, close to Madrid in Spain. It's also near another ski resort called Navacerrada. There were ideas to connect these two areas, but some groups who care about nature stopped these plans.

About Valdesquí Ski Resort
Valdesquí has 21 kilometers of marked ski runs, also known as pistes. This makes it one of the biggest ski areas in the Sistema Central mountain range. The highest point you can ski from is called "La Bola del Mundo." It's 2280 meters (about 7,480 feet) above sea level. From there, you can ski down 400 meters (about 1,312 feet) to the base.
The main part of the resort is at 1860 meters (about 6,000 feet) above sea level. From this base, chair lifts take you up to the different ski runs. The resort is in a high mountain valley called "Valle del Noruego." You can drive to this valley, and there's a parking area and services at the bottom where the lifts start.
There's also a train line, Cercanías, that stops nearby at Cotos. From Cotos, special shuttle buses can take you right to the resort.
