Valdesquí is a super fun ski area located in the beautiful Sierra de Guadarrama mountains. It's close to a town called Rascafría, not too far from Madrid, Spain. Imagine a place where you can ski and snowboard with amazing views!
There's another ski resort nearby called Navacerrada. People once thought about connecting Valdesquí and Navacerrada. However, groups who wanted to protect the natural environment stopped these plans. They believed it was important to keep the mountains wild and untouched.

Discover Valdesquí Ski Resort!
Valdesquí offers 21 kilometers of marked pistes, which are like special trails for skiing. This makes it one of the biggest ski areas in the Sistema Central mountain range. The highest point you can reach is called "La Bola del Mundo" (The Ball of the World). It stands tall at 2280 meters AMSL (that means "Above Mean Sea Level"). From this high point, you can ski down a distance of 400 meters!
The main part of the resort is at 1860 meters AMSL. From here, special chair lifts take you up the mountain to different pistes. The resort is nestled in a high mountain valley known as "Valle del Noruego." You can drive to the valley, where there's a parking area and services. This is also where the lifts begin their journey up the slopes.
Did you know you can even get there by train? A Cercanías railway line stops at a nearby place called Cotos. From there, special shuttle buses take you right to the resort. It's an easy way to get to the snow!
