Valyantsin Byalkevich (Belarusian: Валянцін Бялькевіч; born 27 January 1973 – died 1 August 2014) was a professional footballer from Belarus. He played as a midfielder, often acting as a playmaker who helped create goals.
Valyantsin spent most of his football career playing for the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv. He was a key player in the team that reached the semi-finals of the 1998–99 UEFA Champions League, which is a very big achievement in European football.

Playing Career Highlights
Club Football Journey
Valyantsin Byalkevich started his professional career in 1991 with FC Dinamo Minsk in Belarus. He played there for five years, from 1991 to 1996.
In 1996, he moved to Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine. This is where he became a famous player. He stayed with Dynamo Kyiv for 12 years, until 2008. During his time there, he played in 222 matches and scored 51 goals. He also played a few games for Dynamo Kyiv's reserve teams, Dynamo-2 Kyiv and Dynamo-3 Kyiv.
Towards the end of his career, from 2008 to 2009, Valyantsin played for Inter Baku in Azerbaijan.
International Matches
Valyantsin Byalkevich also played for his country, the Belarus national team. He represented Belarus from 1992 to 2005.
He played in 56 international matches for Belarus and scored 10 goals. In October 2005, he decided to retire from playing for the national team.

Family Life
In 2004, Valyantsin Byalkevich married Anna Sedokova, who is a Ukrainian pop singer. They had a daughter together on 8 December 2004. They later divorced in 2006.
In 2008, Valyantsin became a citizen of Ukraine. After he stopped playing football, he continued to work in the Dynamo Kyiv football academy, helping to train young players.
His Passing
Sadly, Valyantsin Byalkevich passed away on 1 August 2014. He died after suffering from an aneurysm, which is a serious medical condition.

With Dinamo Minsk:
- Belarusian Premier League: He won the league title five times in a row: 1992, 1992–93, 1993–94, 1994–95, and 1995.
- Belarusian Cup: He also won the cup twice: 1992 and 1993–94.
With Dynamo Kyiv:
- Ukrainian Premier League: He won the Ukrainian league title an amazing nine times! These wins were in 1995–96, 1996–97, 1997–98, 1998–99, 1999–2000, 2000–01, 2002–03, 2003–04, and 2006–07.
- Ukrainian Cup: He won the Ukrainian Cup eight times: 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
- Ukrainian Super Cup: He won this cup twice: 2004 and 2006.
Individual Awards
Valyantsin was also recognized for his great skills:
- Belarusian Footballer of the Year: He was named the best footballer in Belarus in 1995.
- Komanda: He was voted Ukrainian Footballer of the Year by the magazine "Komanda" in 2001 and 2003.
