Velile Tshabalala is an English actress. She is famous for playing Kareesha Lopez in the TV show Kerching!. She also played Rosita in the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas special, "The Next Doctor".

Velile Tshabalala was born in Whitechapel, London. She grew up in a place called Ilford. Her family comes from Zimbabwe. Her father works as an engineer. Her mother is a health visitor, who helps people with their health. Velile has one sister and two brothers. She started taking weekend acting classes at the Sylvia Young Theatre School when she was 14.

Velile's Acting Career

Velile started her acting career at 18. Her first big role was in the CBBC show Kerching!. She played Kareesha Lopez, a waitress. Kareesha was a typical teenager who didn't do much work.

Velile also appeared in the BBC Three comedy show Tittybangbang. She played different characters in all three series. In 2008, she was a librarian in an episode of ChuckleVision. Later that year, she played Rosita in the Doctor Who Christmas special. This episode was called "The Next Doctor".

Velile also performed in a pantomime in 2008. It was a show called Dick Whittington's Cat. In 2011, Velile had a short role in the E4 show Misfits. She played Laura, a new probation worker. Her character was quickly turned into a zombie.

In 2014, Velile finished filming a movie called The Journey. In 2021, she joined the TV soap opera Hollyoaks. She played Viv, who was the mother of a character named DeMarcus Westwood. In 2022, she acted in a play called Running with Lions. It was shown at the Lyric Theatre in London. Since 2024, Velile has been playing Stella Clayton in the popular show EastEnders.
