Victor Louis Goines (born August 6, 1961) is an amazing American jazz musician. He plays both the saxophone and the clarinet. Since September 2022, he has been the President and CEO of Jazz St. Louis, an organization that celebrates jazz music. Before that, he was the director of the jazz program at Juilliard, a very famous music school, from 2000 to 2007.

Victor Goines grew up in New Orleans, a city famous for its jazz music. He went to St. Augustine High School there.
Playing with Jazz Greats
Since 1993, Victor has been a key member of two very important jazz groups: the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and the Wynton Marsalis Septet. These groups are known worldwide for their incredible jazz performances.
From 2008 to 2022, Victor also shared his knowledge as a professor and director of jazz studies at Northwestern University. Now, he leads Jazz St. Louis, helping to bring jazz music to more people.
