Music Career
Joining The Runaways
Vicki Blue joined The Runaways in the summer of 1977. This happened after their previous bassist, Jackie Fox, left the band. Vicki did very well in her audition. She became the new bassist for The Runaways.
Touring and Albums
Vicki Blue was listed as playing bass on the band's third album, Waitin' for the Night. However, someone else actually played the bass on that record. Even so, she toured with The Runaways from late 1977 to late 1978. Vicki left the band when they started recording their next album, And Now... The Runaways. She was also listed on this album, but she did not play on it either.
Other Music Work
Later, in 1983, Vicki Blue sang backup vocals. This was for the band Girlschool on their album Play Dirty.
Film and TV Work
Acting Roles
Vicki Blue played a character named Cindy in the movie This Is Spinal Tap. She also appeared as herself in The Return of Bruno. Vicki really enjoyed making movies. Because of this, much of her career after The Runaways has been in filmmaking.

Film's Impact
The director Rob Reiner said he was "mesmerized" by the film. He called it an "incredibly honest rock documentary." A later movie about The Runaways, released in 2010, used Edgeplay as an inspiration. That 2010 film starred Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.
Recent Projects
Television Production
In 2010, Tischler-Blue was an executive producer for two TV shows. These shows were called El Guitarrista and The Rarebirds. They both premiered that year.
Music Video for Suzi Quatro
Tischler-Blue also produced a music video for Suzi Quatro. This was for Suzi's song "Strict Machine" from her 2011 album In the Spotlight. The song "Strict Machine" is a cover of a song by the band Goldfrapp. Suzi Quatro's version adds two lines from her own famous song, "Can The Can". This was to show how similar the tunes were. The music video was released in November 2011. It showed live footage from Suzi Quatro's 2011 tour in Australia.
