Viktoria Valeriyevna Abramchenko (Russian: Викто́рия Вале́рьевна Абра́мченко) was born on May 22, 1975. She is a Russian politician and economist. Currently, she serves as a Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma since September 2024. Before this, she was a Deputy Prime Minister of Russia from January 2020 to May 2024. In that role, she was in charge of important areas like farming, natural resources, and the environment.

Viktoria Abramchenko's Early Life and School
Viktoria Abramchenko was born in Chernogorsk, a city in what was then the Soviet Union. This city is now part of Russia.
She went to the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University. In 1998, she finished her studies there, focusing on land management and environmental engineering. Later, in 2004, she also graduated from the Russian Academy of Public Administration. This academy helps train people for government jobs.
Viktoria Abramchenko's Career in Government
Viktoria Abramchenko started her career in government in 1998. She worked in different departments that managed land and property in Russia.
Early Roles in Land Management
From 1998 to 2000, she worked for the Committee on Land Resources and Land Management. This committee was responsible for how land was used and managed in Russia.
After that, from 2000 to 2001, she worked for the "Land Cadastral Chamber." This organization keeps records of land and property.
Between 2001 and 2005, she held various positions. She became a Deputy Head in departments related to land and property records.
Moving to Economic Development
In 2005, Viktoria Abramchenko joined the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. She worked her way up, becoming a Deputy Director in the Real Estate Department.
In 2011, she was appointed as a Deputy Head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography. This service is very important for registering property and keeping maps.
Work in Agriculture and Deputy Minister Roles
From 2012 to 2015, she led the Department of Land Policy in the Ministry of Agriculture. This role involved making rules about land use for farming.
Then, from 2015 to 2016, she became a Deputy Minister of Agriculture. This was a big step up in her career.
From October 2016 to January 2020, she served as a Deputy Minister of Economic Development. At the same time, she was also the head of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography.
Becoming Deputy Prime Minister
On January 21, 2020, Viktoria Abramchenko was appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. She worked in Mikhail Mishustin's government.
In this important role, she was responsible for many areas. These included agriculture, fishing, forests, natural resources, and protecting the environment. She also oversaw the Siberian Federal Okrug, a large region in Russia.
In May 2024, she left her position as Deputy Prime Minister. She was replaced by Dmitry Patrushev.
Joining the State Duma
After leaving the government, Viktoria Abramchenko decided to run for a seat in the State Duma. The State Duma is like the parliament of Russia.
She ran in a special election for the Southern constituency in Rostov Oblast. She won this election with a large number of votes, getting 75.73% of them.
Soon after her election, on September 17, 2024, she was chosen for another important role. She became a Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma. This means she helps lead the parliament.
Viktoria Abramchenko is a member of the United Russia political party.
