What is a Blue Zone?
Villagrande Strisaili is famous for being the very first place identified as a "Blue Zone." A Blue Zone is a special area where people live much longer than average. They often reach ages over 100 years old!
Scientists study these areas to understand why people live so long. In Villagrande Strisaili, one study found something very interesting. Unlike most places in the world, men in this region live just as long as women. This is quite unusual and makes the area very special.
