Vincent Malik Edwards, born on April 5, 1996, is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a small forward. He recently played for the Seoul Samsung Thunders in South Korea. Before turning pro, he played college basketball for Purdue University.

Vincent Edwards' College Basketball Journey
Vincent Edwards went to Purdue University after high school. He chose Purdue over Michigan. He started playing right away in his first year. He was even named "Freshman of the Week" three times!
Sophomore and Junior Years
In his second year, Vincent scored about 11.3 points and grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game. He thought about joining the NBA early but decided to stay at Purdue. During his third year, he improved even more. He averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. He was named to the "Third-team All-Big Ten". He scored his highest points ever in one game, 26 points, against Indiana.
Senior Season and Purdue Records
After his junior year, Vincent considered the 2017 NBA draft again. But he chose to return for his final year at Purdue. As a senior, he averaged 14.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He shot very well, making 47.6% of his shots and 39.8% of his three-pointers. He was named to the "Second Team All-Big Ten". Vincent finished his college career with amazing numbers. He had 1,638 points, 779 rebounds, and 403 assists. He also started 125 games, which is the second-most for a Purdue player!
Vincent Edwards' Professional Basketball Career
Playing for the Houston Rockets
On June 21, 2018, the Utah Jazz picked Vincent Edwards in the 2018 NBA draft. He was the 52nd player chosen. Soon after, he was traded to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets officially signed him on July 5, 2018. Vincent mostly played for the Rockets' minor league team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He helped the Vipers win the NBA G League championship! He averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for them.
Time with Oklahoma City Blue and Canton Charge
In October 2019, Vincent joined the Oklahoma City Blue. On February 11, 2020, he had an amazing game. He scored 35 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and had 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks! He averaged 11.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in 29 games for the Blue. A few days later, in February 2020, he was traded to the Canton Charge. He played a few games for them before returning to the Oklahoma City Blue in January 2021.
Playing for Iowa Wolves and International Teams
In October 2021, Vincent signed with the Iowa Wolves. He then started playing for teams outside the U.S. In 2022, he played for the Titanes del Distrito Nacional in the Dominican Republic. Then, he moved to France to play for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque from 2022 to 2023. In August 2023, he joined Ironi Ness Ziona in Israel. Later that year, he played for Mitteldeutscher BC in Germany. In December 2024, he signed with the Seoul Samsung Thunders in South Korea.
International Basketball Experience
Vincent Edwards also represented the United States in international games. He was part of the Purdue team that played in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei. His team won a silver medal for the U.S.!
Personal Life
Vincent Edwards comes from a basketball family. His dad, Bill Edwards, was also a basketball player. Bill played for Wright State in college and even played in the NBA.
