Vishakha Singh is an Indian actress, producer, and entrepreneur. She has acted in many films, including those in South Indian languages and Bollywood. She first appeared in a Telugu film called Gnapakam. Later, she starred in the Bollywood movie Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey with Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Her big break came with the Tamil film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya in 2013.

Vishakha Singh was born on May 5, 1986, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She went to the Abu Dhabi Indian School and Delhi Public School. She studied business at Delhi University. She also studied Advertising and Public Relations in New Delhi.

Her Acting Journey

Early Career

Vishakha started her career as a model in 2007. She appeared in many TV and print advertisements. Her first movie was the Telugu film Gnaapakam in 2007. After that, she acted in a Tamil film and two Kannada films.

She made her Hindi film debut in 2008 with Hum Se Jahan. However, she became well-known for her role in Ashutosh Gowariker's film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. For this role, she was nominated for a "Best Breakthrough Performance" award in 2011.

Becoming a Producer

In 2012, Vishakha also started working as a film producer. She co-produced a film called Peddlers. This movie was even shown at the famous Cannes Film Festival. She also helped produce another film called Haraamkhor.

Big Successes

After three years, Vishakha returned to acting in Tamil films. Her film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya was released in 2013. It became a huge hit and was the first blockbuster of the year in the Tamil film industry.

In 2013, she also starred in three Bollywood films. Two of these, Fukrey and Ankur Arora Murder Case, were released on the same day. Her third film was Bajatey Raho. Vishakha said that Fukrey really changed how people saw her as an actress.

Other Film Roles

Vishakha also made her Malayalam film debut in Motorcycle Diaries. She returned to Telugu films with Rowdy Fellow. In this movie, she played a character who looked like an angel but was a bit mischievous. She also acted in a horror thriller called The Maya Tape.

Helping Others

Vishakha Singh is also involved in social work. She helped launch a campaign called "Justice For Santhi". This campaign supported athlete Santhi Soundarajan. It helped Santhi get a permanent job at the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority.
