Vishakha Singh was born on May 5, 1985, in Abu Dhabi, which is in the United Arab Emirates. She went to school in Abu Dhabi and later studied business at Delhi University in India. She also studied Advertising and Public Relations.

Her Journey in Films

Vishakha started her career as a model in 2007. She appeared in many TV and print advertisements. Her first movie was a Telugu film called Gnaapakam in 2007. After that, she acted in a Tamil film and two Kannada films.

Bollywood Debut

Vishakha made her first Hindi film appearance in Hum Se Jahan in 2008. However, she became more widely known for her role in director Ashutosh Gowariker's 2010 film, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. In this movie, she acted alongside famous stars like Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Her performance even earned her a nomination for a "Best Breakthrough Performance" award.

Becoming a Producer

In 2012, Vishakha also started working behind the scenes as a film producer. She helped produce a film called Peddlers. This movie was even shown at the famous Cannes Film Festival, which is a big deal in the film world! She also co-produced another film called Haraamkhor.

Breakthrough Roles

After a short break, Vishakha returned to acting in Tamil films. Her movie Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, released in 2013, became a huge success. That same year, she had three Hindi films released. Two of them, Fukrey and Ankur Arora Murder Case, came out on the same day. Her role in Fukrey was especially important, as it changed how people saw her as an actress. She even said she turned down many other film offers after Fukrey because of its success.

She also returned to Telugu films with Rowdy Fellow, where she played a character who seemed sweet but was actually quite mischievous.
