Deepika Padukone (born 5 January 1986) is a famous Indian actress. She mainly works in Hindi films. As of 2023, she is one of India's highest-paid actresses. She has won many awards, including three Filmfare Awards.

Time magazine recognized her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. She also received the Time100 Impact Award in 2022.

Deepika is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and grew up in Bangalore, India. As a teenager, she played badminton at a national level. While filming Bachna Ae Haseeno in 2008, Deepika started dating her co-star Ranbir Kapoor. She spoke openly about their relationship. They broke up a year later but became friends again while working on Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
