Vista is a small village located in St. Clair County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, a count of the people living there, called a census, showed that 36 people called Vista home.

History of Vista

Vista was officially planned and mapped out in 1885. It was named after Vista Dawson, who was the daughter of one of the very first people to settle in the area.

For a short time, the village had a different name: "Decherd." A post office opened in Decherd in 1887. However, the name of the post office was changed to Vista in 1889. The post office in Vista stayed open until 1973.

During the 2010 census, there were 54 people living in Vista. These people lived in 22 different homes, and 13 of these homes were families. The village had about 415 people per square mile.
