Voysil Peak (which is also called Bulgarian: връх Войсил, romanizedvrah Voysil in Bulgarian) is a tall mountain peak. It stands at 2,900 meters (about 9,514 feet) high. This peak is found in a place called Maglenik Heights. This area is in the north-central part of the Sentinel Range, which is part of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica.

Voysil Peak stands high above several glaciers. To its north and east, it overlooks parts of the Kopsis Glacier. To its southwest, it rises above the upper sections of the Ellen Glacier. The peak gets its name from a town called Voysil in Southern Bulgaria.

Where is Voysil Peak?

Voysil Peak is located in a very cold and icy part of the world! Its exact spot is 78°07′39″S 85°35′39″W / 78.12750°S 85.59417°W / -78.12750; -85.59417.

This peak is surrounded by other interesting places:

  • It is about 7.1 kilometers (4.4 miles) east of Mount Press.
  • It is about 5.6 kilometers (3.5 miles) south-southeast of Bezden Peak.
  • It is about 9.76 kilometers (6.06 miles) west-southwest of Zimornitsa Peak.
  • It is about 4.07 kilometers (2.53 miles) northwest of Mount Gozur.

Scientists in the United States first mapped this area in 1961. They updated these maps again in 1988.
