Wahlsten is a very small place in Minnesota, United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Wahlsten is located in Kugler Township, which is part of Saint Louis County. Where is Wahlsten?
Wahlsten is found in the northern part of Minnesota. It's about 5 miles south of a town called Tower. You can find Wahlsten where two roads meet: State Highway 135 and Saint Louis County Road 26, which is also known as Wahlsten Road.
This small community is also about 17 miles north of another town, Aurora. Close by, you'll find State Highway 169 and the Pike River. Another community in the area is Embarrass.
A Bit of History
Wahlsten got its name from an early settler. The community was named after a Swedish man called August Wahlsten. He was one of the first people to settle in this area.
