The Wakhan is home to some amazing wildlife, even with its tough climate. You might find rare animals like the snow leopard, Marco Polo sheep, and Siberian ibex. These animals are well-adapted to the cold and rocky environment. The plants that grow here are mostly tough, high-altitude grasses and shrubs. Trees are rare, except in some sheltered valleys.
