Walsh is a small community called a hamlet in Alberta, Canada. It is part of Cypress County.
You can find Walsh right next to the Trans-Canada Highway. It is just west of the Saskatchewan border. The land here is about 745 meters (2,444 feet) above sea level.
Walsh is located in an area called Census Division No. 1. It is also part of the Medicine Hat area for federal elections.
Walsh probably got its name from a famous police officer named James Walsh. He was part of the North-West Mounted Police and built a fort here a long time ago.
