Where Was Walthamstow West Located?
The boundaries of Walthamstow West changed slightly over the years.
Early Boundaries (1918–1950)
From 1918 to 1950, Walthamstow West included three specific parts of the Walthamstow Urban District. These were the areas known as High Street, Higham Hill, and St James Street.
Later Boundaries (1950–1974)
From 1950 until it was abolished in 1974, the constituency covered the same three areas. However, by this time, Walthamstow had become a Municipal Borough. So, the areas were still High Street, Higham Hill, and St James Street, but within the new borough structure.
