Watertown is a small city in Carver County, Minnesota, United States. It is located along the South Fork of the Crow River. Watertown is on the edge of the Twin Cities metro area, which includes Minneapolis and Saint Paul. In 2020, the city had a population of 4,659 people.

History of Watertown
Watertown was first planned out in 1858. It officially became a city in 1877. The city got its name from the nearby Watertown Township.
Geography and Location
Watertown covers an area of about 2.64 square miles (6.84 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
Minnesota State Highway 25 is a main road that goes through Watertown. This highway helps connect the city to other places.
