Watson is a small village located in Atchison County, Missouri, in the United States. It is part of Nishnabotna Township. In 2020, the village had a population of 61 people. Watson is special because it is the westernmost town in the state of Missouri. It is about 120 miles northwest of Kansas City.

A Look Back: Watson's History
Watson was officially planned and marked out on a map in 1869. The village was named after an important person who worked for the railroad. A post office, where people could send and receive mail, was opened in Watson in 1869. It stayed open for many years until 1965.
