Welling is a very small community, called a hamlet, located in southern Alberta, Canada. It's found within an area known as Cardston County. Think of a hamlet as a tiny village, often with just a few homes and people.
Welling is situated north of where two highways meet: Highway 5 and Highway 52. It's about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of a larger city called Lethbridge. This means it's in a quiet, rural part of Alberta.
How Many People Live in Welling?
In 2008, a special count was done by Cardston County. This count showed that only 30 people lived in Welling at that time. This makes Welling one of the smallest communities in Alberta.
