Wendy Kaufman is an American television personality. She is best known as "Wendy, the Snapple Lady." She was the spokesperson for the popular drink company, Snapple. Wendy also appeared on the TV show Celebrity Fit Club twice.

Early Life and School
Wendy Kaufman was born in North Woodmere, New York. Her mother stayed home, and her father owned a company that made steel. Wendy grew up in North Woodmere. She went to Lawrence High School. Later, she graduated from Syracuse University in 1980. She studied film and sociology there.
Becoming the Snapple Lady
Before she became famous, Wendy worked at Snapple's main office in Long Island. In her free time, she started answering letters from Snapple fans.
Snapple's advertising company, Kirshenbaum and Bond, had a great idea. They thought Wendy would be perfect to appear in their ads. They called her "Wendy, the Snapple Lady." To convince Snapple's founders, they showed pictures of famous people like Oprah and Roseanne Barr. These stars were popular and showed that people liked different body types.
In the ads, Wendy would read and answer real letters from Snapple customers. These ads were a huge success! Snapple's sales went way up. Wendy appeared in many ads. She also made special appearances at fairs, schools, and on TV shows.
Changes at Snapple
In 1994, a company called Quaker Oats Company bought Snapple. They decided to stop using Wendy in their ads. After this, Snapple's sales dropped a lot.
Later, Snapple was sold again to new owners, Triarc Companies. They quickly brought Wendy back as the spokesperson. She helped Snapple become popular once more. Wendy left Snapple in 2008.
After Snapple
In 2005, Wendy Kaufman was on the TV show Celebrity Fit Club. She appeared in both the first and second seasons. In 2016, she was featured on an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?.
