Wendy Asiamah Addo, known as Wendy Shay, is a talented Ghanaian singer. She was born on February 20, 1996. In March 2021, she was recognized as one of the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards.

Early Life and Education
Wendy Shay was born in Accra, Ghana. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Addo. When she was four years old, her father passed away. After this, Wendy and her three siblings moved to Stuttgart, Germany. Her love for music grew stronger after this big change in her life.
She went to Morning Star School and St Martin de Porres in Accra. When she moved to Stuttgart, she continued her education from grade 7. She also attended a music school in Bernhausen, Germany.
Music Career
Before becoming a singer, Wendy Shay was a trained nurse. She worked as a midwife. She decided to move back to Ghana to follow her dream of becoming a musician. Her interest in music started when she was very young.
In January 2018, she signed with RuffTown Records. This happened after another artist from the label, Ebony Reigns, sadly passed away. On June 1, 2018, Wendy Shay released her first song, "Uber Driver." The music video for the song came out on the same day. The song was produced by MOG Beatz.
Wendy Shay was also given a special title in Gomoa Afransi in the Central Region (Ghana). She was named Queen Ewurabena Ofosuhemaa Shay 1.
Brand Ambassador Role
Wendy Shay is a brand ambassador for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in Ghana. This agency helps young people find jobs. There were some rumors that she was no longer the ambassador, but it was later confirmed that she still holds the position.
Live Performances
Wendy Shay has performed at many big events. These include the Miss Ghana 2018 Finals and the RTP Awards Africa 2018. She also performed at the BF Suma Ghana Connect 18 concert.
In December 2019, she performed at Ghana's Afronation Music Festival. In 2022, her performance at the Ghana Culture Festival in Belgium was stopped by the Police.

Wendy Shay has received several awards and nominations. In 2018, she was named Discovery of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. She also won Breakthrough Of The Year at the 3Music Awards. She was named New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards SA. She also won Best New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards 2018. Her "Uber Driver" video won Music Video of the Year at the Eastern Music Awards.

Recent News
On September 9, 2023, Wendy Shay was involved in a car incident on the Kwabenya road. Reports said a truck lost control near her car. She was not seriously hurt but felt headaches after the incident.
