West Hoxton is a lively suburb located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It's about 40 kilometers west of the main city center. West Hoxton is part of the City of Liverpool area, which is a local government region. It's also part of the bigger Greater Western Sydney area.

A Look Back in Time

West Hoxton grew out of an older area called Hoxton Park. Hoxton Park got its name in 1887. This was when a group called Phillips and Co divided the land.

Before that, in June 1818, a lawyer from London named Thomas Setrop Amos received a large piece of land here. West Hoxton itself was mostly built up in the late 1990s. It became a place where many families live.
