West Wenatchee is a place in Chelan County, Washington, in the United States. It used to be called a "census-designated place" (CDP). A CDP is an area that looks like a town but doesn't have its own local government. Now, West Wenatchee is an "unincorporated community," which means it's still a community without its own separate government.
In 2010, the United States Census Bureau decided to include most of West Wenatchee's area into the nearby city of Wenatchee. This made Wenatchee's population much larger. The area that was West Wenatchee is now part of the larger Wenatchee and East Wenatchee metropolitan area. This is a big area that includes a city and its surrounding communities.
