Wilco is an American alternative rock band. They formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1994. The band was started by the last members of a group called Uncle Tupelo. This happened after singer Jay Farrar left Uncle Tupelo. Wilco is known for its unique sound, which mixes different types of music.
