Willa's Wild Life is a fun French-Canadian animated TV show. It's based on a book called An Octopus Followed Me Home by Dan Yaccarino. The show is all about a girl named Willa, played by Jordan Todosey, who lives with many amazing zoo animals! Imagine having a giraffe, a camel, two elephants, and even an alligator as your housemates.

The series first aired in the United States on Qubo, in Canada on YTV, and in France on France 3. It uses a special animation style called Flash animation, which helps create its unique look.

Characters in Willa's Wild Life

People Willa Meets

  • Willa (Jordan Todosey) is the main character. She has lots of amazing animals living with her. This often leads to funny adventures and sometimes a bit of trouble! Willa is super kind and always tries to be a good friend. You'll usually see her in a green shirt, a red sweater, and a green headband.
  • Dooley (Samantha Reynolds) is Willa's next-door neighbor and her best friend. He often joins Willa on her wild adventures. Dooley helps Willa learn important lessons along the way. He wears a purple T-shirt, yellow pants, and thick, round glasses.
  • Dad (Peter Keleghan) is Willa's single father. He's not always comfortable with all the animals living in their house. But he knows how much Willa loves them and how helpful they can be. So, he lets her keep them. He also helps Willa learn from her experiences. He often wears an orange vest, a blue long-sleeved shirt, and glasses. He really loves Willa.
  • Sara, Kara, and Lara are three friends who look and act very similar. They often think they are cooler than everyone else. They sometimes tease Willa, Dooley, and Evelyn. They even get Willa's and Dooley's names wrong! They are part of a dance club and love ballet. Each of them has a pet poodle.
    • Sara (Lauren Collins) has blonde hair and wears pink clothes. Her red poodle is named Susu.
    • Kara (Sunday Muse) has red hair and wears purple clothes. Her purple poodle is named Kuku.
    • Lara (Alyson Court) has brown hair and wears green clothes. Her green poodle is named Lulu.
  • Evelyn (Lisa Norton) is another one of Willa's friends. She often gets involved in Willa's adventures too. Evelyn can sometimes seem a bit grumpy or easily discouraged. But with Willa and Dooley's help, she learns to have fun. She is tall with red hair and often wears a turquoise shirt and blue jeans.
  • Mr. Tremble (Dwayne Hill) is the assistant principal at Willa's school. He often finds himself caught up in Willa's animal adventures. He usually wears a brown jacket and blue pants. He also has an orange toupee, which he often loses during Willa's adventures!
  • Ms. Delilah Vanderwinkle (Jayne Lewis) is Willa's other next-door neighbor. She often wears a pink shirt and a flowered dress. She has an orange cat named Tangerine. Willa even babysits Ms. Vanderwinkle's nephew, Buzzy, in one episode.
  • The Mailman appears in some episodes. He is often scared by Gus the alligator!
  • Tiffy Tootle (Alyson Court) is a famous girl with blonde hair. She appears in one episode, "Willa's Wonderful Life."

Willa's Amazing Animals

  • Gus (Danny Wells) is an alligator. He can be a bit rude and tries to eat the Bunnies sometimes. But Willa or the other animals always stop him! Gus sleeps under Willa's bed and is always hungry.
  • Jenny (Yanna McIntosh) is a giraffe. She is the wisest of all the animals. Jenny helps Willa during her adventures. She acts like a mother figure to Willa. Because she's so big, Jenny sleeps outside.
  • Inky (Dwayne Hill), Blinky (Jay T. Schramek), and Bob are penguins. They are not the smartest animals, but they are great at ice skating! Bob doesn't speak; he just makes funny gestures. They call Willa "Gladys." They love eating herrings, just like real penguins. They sleep in the freezer.
  • Koko (Katie Bergin) is a kangaroo from Australia. She wears a pink bow on her head. Koko keeps many things in her pouch, like makeup and a photo of a famous kangaroo! She is the most girly of the animals and sleeps in the living room.
  • Steve (Dennis Fitzgerald) and Edie (Jayne Lewis) are two seals. They used to be in show business! Steve has darker skin than Edie, who wears a flower clip. They put on a performance every week in Willa's backyard. They are talented musicians and sleep in the bathtub.
  • Wallace (Dwayne Hill) is a walrus. He is the oldest animal. Wallace loves to tell stories about his adventures in the Arctic. He sleeps with Steve and Edie in the bathtub.
  • Samuel (Dennis Fitzgerald) is a camel. He is the most fancy and polite of the animals. Willa rides him to school every day. He sleeps in the living room with Koko.
  • The Bunnies are dozens of rabbits in many bright colors. They don't speak words, but they squeak and giggle. They often give out kisses when they are happy! They sleep all over the house.
  • Bert (Dwayne Hill) is a bear. He used to live in Russia before coming to live with Willa. Bert is usually seen sleeping. He sleeps in the living room with Koko and Samuel.
  • Tiny (Darren Frost) and Lou (Dwayne Hill) are two elephants. They are the most playful and silly of all the animals. Tiny is blue and has a high voice, while Lou is yellow with a low voice. They live in the garage.
  • Susu, Kuku, and Lulu are the pet poodles of Sara, Kara, and Lara. Susu is red (Sara's dog), Kuku is purple (Kara's dog), and Lulu is green (Lara's dog). Like their owners, they can be a bit snooty.
  • Sparkle is Evelyn's pet spider. She is orange and red. Sparkle only appears in the episode Spider Girl.
  • Tangerine is Ms. Vanderwinkle's pet cat. Tangerine is orange and only appears in the episode Over the Fence.
