Yanna McIntosh, born in 1970, is a talented actress. She was born in Jamaica but is also Canadian. You might know her from her many roles in TV shows, movies, and plays. Sometimes, her name is spelled Yanna MacIntosh.

Early Life and Training
Yanna McIntosh studied acting at two well-known schools. She went to the University of Toronto and also trained at the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. This is where she learned how to act in plays. Later, she even taught acting to students at the National Theatre School of Canada and Humber College.

Yanna McIntosh has had many exciting roles in theatre, movies, and television. She is known for playing strong and interesting characters.
Theatre Roles
Yanna has performed in many famous plays. She played Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew and Hedda in Hedda Gabler. She also took on the role of Mary in Friedrich Schiller's Mary Stuart. A very important role was playing Condoleezza Rice in David Hare's play Stuff Happens.
In 2011, Yanna played the main character, Mama Nadi, in a play called Ruined. This play won a Pulitzer Prize, which is a very big award! In 2014, she played Cleopatra in William Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra at the Stratford Festival. This play was even filmed for TV! Yanna was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for her amazing performance.
In 2019, Yanna joined the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in San Francisco. She played the popular character Hermione Granger.

Yanna McIntosh has been in many TV shows. Some of her regular roles include Dr. Currie in Side Effects and Jenni Hernandez in Riverdale. She also played Edna Myles in The Eleventh Hour and Dr. Rollins in Blue Murder. You might also remember her as Zona Robinson in This is Wonderland or Ms. Dymond in The Best Years.
