Dan Yaccarino (born May 20, 1965) is an American author, illustrator, and TV producer. He is famous for his animated series, children's books, and amazing artwork. Yaccarino created the popular Nick Jr. show Oswald.
About Dan Yaccarino
Dan Yaccarino grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. He loved drawing, writing, and making movies. He was inspired by many things around him. These included old films, comic books, and even advertisements.
He went to art school at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Later, he studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City. He finished his studies in 1987.
Dan says he gets ideas from other children's book creators. He also finds inspiration from people in other fields. For example, he looks up to director Henry Selick and musician Brian Wilson. Soon after college, he started working as an illustrator. His art appeared in big newspapers and magazines.
