Willalo is a small country area located in the Mid North region of South Australia. It's part of the Regional Council of Goyder, which helps manage the local area. Willalo officially became a named place in August 2000, but people had been calling it Willalo for a long time before that. In its early days, it was also known as North Booboorowie.

The Willalo School started in the Willalo Hall in 1912. It taught local children for many years. The school closed its doors in 1971.

A church for the Methodist faith was built in Willalo in 1928. We don't know exactly when this church closed.
