Willapa is a small community in Pacific County, Washington, located east of the city of Raymond. It is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that the government counts for the census, but it is not an officially incorporated town or city. In 2010, about 210 people lived there.
The name Willapa comes from the Willapa people. They were an ancient group who spoke an Athapaskan language. They used to live in the Willapa River valley, which is also named after them. Sadly, the Willapa people are no longer around.
