Willows is a city in California, located in the Sacramento Valley. It is the main city, also called the county seat, of Glenn County.
Willows is an important place for government offices in the area. You can find offices for the California Highway Patrol and the California Department of Motor Vehicles here. It is also home to the main offices of the Mendocino National Forest. This forest is huge, covering about one million acres of land. Most of it is in the mountains west of Willows. In 2020, about 6,293 people lived in Willows.

History of Willows
The first post office in the area opened in 1862. It was first called "Willow," but the name was changed to "Willows" in 1916. The building that is used as the post office today was built in 1918. It is a very old and important building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
During World War II, from 1942 to 1945, there was a special training area called the Willows Auxiliary Field. It was used to help train pilots for the war.

Willows is a city that covers about 2.9 square miles (7.5 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a small part being water.

In 2010, there were 6,166 people living in Willows. Most of the people were White. A good number of people were also of Hispanic or Latino background.
The city had 2,173 households. Many of these households, about 38.6%, had children under 18 living in them. About half of the households were married couples living together.
In 2000, the population was 6,220 people. The city had a mix of different groups of people. About 32.7% of the population was under 18 years old.

- Ace Adams was born in Willows. He was a famous baseball player who played in the major leagues.
- Mark Koenig, another baseball player, died in Willows. He played for the championship New York Yankees teams.
