Where is Wilmar Located?
Wilmar is found in the western part of Drew County. It is located along U.S. Route 278. This road goes east about 8 miles to Monticello. Monticello is the main town, or county seat, of Drew County. The same road also goes west about 8 miles to Warren.
Another road, Arkansas Highway 133, goes north from Wilmar. It leads about 7 miles to Arkansas Highway 35. This highway is east of a place called Rye.

Education in Wilmar

Before 1990, Wilmar had its own school district. But on July 1, 1990, the Wilmar School District joined with the Drew Central School District. For a couple of years, from 1990 to 1992, Drew Central still ran schools in Wilmar. However, in 1992, these schools were combined with the main schools on the Drew Central campus.
