History of Wilsey
Wilsey was founded as a farming community. It was named after an early settler, John D. Wilsey. In the early 1880s, the Missouri Pacific Railroad built tracks through the area. This helped Wilsey grow into a city.
The community once had its own businesses and schools. However, the local post office closed down in 1997.
