Wilsona was a small community that existed in the 1900s. It was located in the Antelope Valley part of Los Angeles County, California.
Wilsona was found in the far northeastern corner of Los Angeles County. It was close to where Los Angeles, Kern, and San Bernardino Counties meet. The area was near Big Rock Wash and sat at an elevation of 2,726 feet (831 meters).

Wilsona's Post Office History
Wilsona had its own post office starting in 1916. This post office was located between the post offices of Llano and Gray Mountain.
Around 1929, Wilsona was one of several post offices that served farms and ranches spread out across the desert. People could reach these communities by car, and roads connected the Antelope Valley to other towns in the desert.
Community Life in Wilsona
Wilsona was one of many small communities in the Antelope Valley. These communities often served as trading centers. People living there worked in mining or farming.
A road called Wilsona Road connected Lancaster and Victorville–Adelanto. This road helped people travel to and from Wilsona.
The Wilsona Library Branch
In the 1910s and 1920s, the people of Wilsona had a branch of the Los Angeles County Free Library. This library branch was located at the Wilsona school.
The library branch started in September 1915. At first, it was in a homesteader's tent house. In 1917, it moved to the schoolhouse. Over time, 1,729 books were sent to the branch. About 272 books were still there, and 66 people were signed up to borrow books.
Miss Wilsona Pageant
Even as late as 1958, there was still a "Miss Wilsona" competing in the Miss Antelope Valley pageant. This shows that the name Wilsona was still remembered in the area for some time.
