Wincent Weiss: His Music Journey
Starting His Music Career (2013-2017)
In 2013, Wincent Weiss took part in the German TV talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. This show is like the "Idol" series in other countries. He did well in his audition and made it to the top 29 contestants. However, he did not make it to the live shows.
In 2015, a German DJ group called Gestört aber GeiL and Koby Funk made a remix of a song Wincent had sung. The song was called "Unter meiner Haut." Wincent had put his own version of this song on YouTube. This remix became very popular. It reached number six on the German music charts. It also earned a platinum award, which means it sold a lot of copies.
Before he got his first big music contract, Wincent worked as a waiter and a model. He even walked in a fashion show for Versace menswear.
Wincent's first song as a solo artist was "Regenbogen," released in 2015. It did not become a hit. In 2016, he released the song "Musik sein." This song was very successful in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It reached the top ten in Austria and Switzerland.
His next song, "Feuerwerk," came out in 2017. It was also popular, reaching the top thirty in Germany and Switzerland. This song came out before his first studio album, Irgendwas gegen die Stille. The album was released in April 2017. It was a big success, reaching number three in Germany and number four in Switzerland. It also earned platinum awards in both countries. A new version of the album was released later that year.
In May 2017, Wincent was part of the German jury for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine. In November, he won an MTV Europe Music Award for being the Best German Act.
Continued Success and New Music (2018-Present)

In April 2018, Wincent Weiss won an Echo Music Prize for Best National Newcomer. He was also nominated for Best National Pop Artist. In the same month, he released "An Wunder." This was the first song from his second album, Irgendwie anders. "An Wunder" reached the top 20 in Germany and earned a gold award.
Also in 2018, Wincent lent his voice to the main character in a German animated movie called Tabaluga. This movie was based on a popular media series. His album Irgendwie anders was released in March 2019. It reached number two in Germany and Switzerland. Like "An Wunder," the album also received a gold award. It included five more songs, such as "Hier mit dir."
In 2019, Wincent also took part in the German TV show Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert. This show is where musicians sing each other's songs. In 2020, he released a new song called "Sag so," which he made with Achtabahn.
Since 2021, Wincent Weiss has been a coach on The Voice Kids Germany. This is a popular TV show where young singers compete. In 2024, a singer from Wincent's team, Jakob Hebgen, won the season. This made Wincent the winning coach. In 2025, his team won again when Neo Klingl became the champion in Wincent's fifth season as a coach.
