Winton is a small city in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 169 people lived there.
Winton is home to a small dam that makes electricity from water. This dam is on the edge of Garden Lake. State Highway 169 is the main road that leads into Winton. The city is about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of Ely, Minnesota.

History of Winton
Winton got its own post office in 1895. It stayed open until 1996. The city is named after William C. Winton. He was a businessman who worked with wood in the lumber industry.
