Wolfe City is a small city in Hunt County, Texas, in the United States. It is located where two main roads, State Highways 34 and 11, meet.
The city is about 17 miles (27 km) north of Greenville. Wolfe City was first settled in the 1860s or 1870s. A man named J. Pinckney Wolfe built a mill near Oyster Creek, which helped the town grow. In 2020, about 1,399 people lived in Wolfe City.

About Wolfe City's Location
Wolfe City is found near the northern edge of Hunt County. State Highway 34 goes right through the middle of town. This road is also called Santa Fe Street. You can travel northeast on Highway 34 for 21 miles (34 km) to reach Honey Grove. If you go south for 17 miles (27 km), you will get to Greenville, which is the main city of Hunt County.
State Highway 11 crosses Highway 34 in the northern part of Wolfe City. This road goes northwest for 23 miles (37 km) to Whitewright. If you head southeast on Highway 11, you will reach Commerce in about 13 miles (21 km).
The United States Census Bureau says that Wolfe City covers a total area of about 1.5 square miles (4.0 km²). Most of this area is land, with a small part, about 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²), being water.
