Wong's King Seafood Restaurant, or simply Wong's King, was a chain of Chinese and seafood restaurants. These restaurants were located in the Portland area of Oregon, a state in the United States.
History of Wong's King
Wong's King first opened its doors in 2004. The main restaurant was located in the Montavilla neighborhood of Portland. It was a popular spot for people who enjoyed Chinese food and seafood.
Other Locations and Changes
Besides the Portland location, Wong's King also had restaurants in other nearby towns. These included Beaverton, Estacada, and Sandy.
In September 2011, the Wong's King restaurant in Beaverton changed its name. It became known as Lychee Asian Bistro and Noodle House. Even though the name changed, the same owners still ran the restaurant. The menu at Lychee Asian Bistro focused more on noodle and rice dishes. This was a bit different from the dim sum that Wong's King was known for.
Closure of the Restaurants
Sadly, Wong's King closed all its locations in 2020. This happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused many businesses to close down.
