Woodland is a small community located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, in the United States. It is known for its beautiful lake shore property right on Lake Minnetonka. In 2020, about 384 people lived here.
The first people to settle in the Woodland area arrived in 1857. At that time, it was part of a larger area called Minnetonka Township. The land was officially mapped out in 1882. More homes and buildings were developed throughout the 1890s. Woodland officially became its own village in December 1948. It was first named "Maplewoods" but was renamed "Woodland" in 1949.

Woodland is a small city. The United States Census Bureau says the city covers a total area of about 0.62 square miles (1.6 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.58 square miles (1.5 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometers), is water, mostly from Lake Minnetonka.
