Woodmoor is in the state of Colorado. It is about 1.5 miles east of the center of Monument, Colorado.

The Woodmoor CDP covers an area of about 15.78 square kilometers (or 3,900 acres). A small part of this area, about 0.16 square kilometers (or 40 acres), is water.
Exploring Woodmoor's Common Areas
Woodmoor has special "common areas" that are meant for everyone in the community to use. For a long time, it was hard to know where these areas were because there were no signs or maps.
In 1994, the Woodmoor Improvement Association, a local group, organized volunteers. These volunteers explored the areas, gave them names, and put up signs. They also created the first "Guide to the Woodmoor Commons." Woodmoor also has many trails for horseback riding, both in the northern and southern parts of the community.
