Woodville is a small community in Leon County, Florida, United States. It's located just south of Tallahassee, Florida, which is the state capital. A very important historical event, the American Civil War Battle of Natural Bridge, happened near Woodville in March 1865. This battle took place at a special spot called the Natural Bridge. Here, the St. Marks River actually disappears into a large hole in the ground, called a sinkhole. The river then flows underground for about 0.25 miles (0.4 km) before coming back to the surface.
