Xenia Deli was born in Basarabeasca, Moldova. Her family background is Gagauz. She first studied literature and wanted to become a teacher. She finished her first year at the Moldova State University. Xenia also went to a modeling school.
She came to the United States from Moldova through an exchange program. At first, she worked as a waitress. During this time, she met her first husband, Patrick Cox, who was a photographer. She became an American citizen through their marriage.
Later, Xenia joined a program for modeling students. She entered a 'Beach Bunny' contest and was one of the top three finalists. This brand then asked her to be in their ads.

Deli got a modeling contract with Victoria's Secret. Their team saw her picture from another ad campaign in a store. It was across from their offices. They invited her for an interview, and she signed a contract with them.
