Osiris Jahkail Williams (born September 7, 1998), known as YK Osiris, is an American singer and rapper. He is famous for his 2019 song "Worth It." This song became very popular and sold millions of copies. It was one of the top 50 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Before "Worth It," his 2018 song "Valentine" also became a hit. Its success helped him sign with a big music company called Def Jam Recordings.
Early Life and Music Journey
Osiris Jahkail Williams was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He started making music when he was young. At first, he shared songs using his real name. In 2017, he posted a song called "Fake Love." Later, he began using the name "YK Osiris," which means "Young King Osiris."
In 2018, YK Osiris signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings. This happened because his song "Valentine" became very popular online. The next year, he released "Worth It." This song became his biggest hit and his only song as the main artist to reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In October 2019, he released his first album, The Golden Child. He also sang on DaBaby's song "Gospel" in 2019. This song also made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2022, he left Def Jam Recordings. In July 2023, he released a new song called "Dear Fans." In 2024, YK Osiris joined Drummer Records and released "Time Goes By" in February.
