Yana Gupta (born Jana Synková) is a talented model and actress from the Czech Republic. She is well-known for her work in India, especially in Bollywood films. Yana was born on April 23, 1979.

Early Life and Beginnings
Yana Gupta was born as Jana Synková in 1979 in a city called Brno in what was then Czechoslovakia. Today, this area is part of the Czech Republic. She grew up with her sister, raised by their mother after her parents separated.
Starting Her Modeling Career
Yana began her journey in the world of modeling when she was just 16 years old. After finishing her studies in Park Architecture and Gardening, she moved to Japan to continue her modeling work. Later, she decided to move to India.
Career in India
When Yana first arrived in India, she spent some time at an ashram (a spiritual retreat) in Pune. There, she met and married an artist named Satyakam Gupta. This is when she changed her last name to Gupta.
Becoming a Top Model
In 2001, Yana officially joined the Indian modeling industry. Her career quickly took off, and she became the main face for Lakme, which is one of India's biggest makeup brands.
Stepping into Bollywood
Yana made her first appearance in a Bollywood film in 2002. She was featured in a popular song called "Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo" from the movie Dum. This type of song, where a performer makes a special dance appearance, is often called an "item song" in Indian cinema. She also appeared in another item song for the film Gharshana.
