Yenda is a town in the Riverina area of New South Wales, Australia. It is about 16 kilometers (10 miles) east of Griffith. Sydney is much further away, about 550 kilometers (340 miles) to the west. Yenda is part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. This area helps farms grow many different crops. In 2011, about 1,500 people lived in Yenda.

What Yenda is Known For
Yenda is famous for its many vineyards. These vineyards grow grapes that are used to make a lot of the wine in New South Wales. The town also has farms that grow rice. These rice fields get their water from a special irrigation system. You can also find orchards here, which grow fruits like peaches and oranges. There are also farms that raise chickens and gardens that grow fresh vegetables. A big company called Casella Family Brands is based in Yenda. They make popular drinks like yellow tail.
Nature Around Yenda
Close to Yenda, you can visit the Cocoparra National Park. This park is very large, covering about 8,360 hectares (20,660 acres). It has beautiful waterfalls and deep gorges. You can also enjoy bush walks and explore nature. The park is home to more than 150 different kinds of birds. It is a great place to see Australian wildlife.
Yenda's History and Transport
The Yenda railway station opened a long time ago in 1916. It was on the Temora–Roto railway line, but it is now closed. The Yenda Post Office opened a few years later, on July 1, 1919. In the past, Yenda had many local shops. These included clothing stores, bakeries, butchers, and a cinema. Today, most people in Yenda do their main shopping in nearby Griffith.

Yenda is home to the Yenda Brewery, which started in 2014. This brewery makes different kinds of drinks. It is located on a farm just outside the town. In 2020, the brewery was owned by two companies: Coca-Cola Amatil and Casella Family Brands.
Sports in Yenda
Yenda has a strong love for sports.
- The Yenda Blueheelers Rugby League Club plays at Wade Park. They compete in the Group 20 Rugby League competition.
- The Yenda Tigers junior soccer club is also based in the town. Young players from Yenda play in the Griffith Football Association.
