Yolo (which is Yo-loy in the Wintun language) is a small, unincorporated community and census-designated place in Yolo County, California. It's like a small town that isn't officially a city. Yolo is about 4.9 miles northwest of Woodland, which is the main town of the county. It's also about 24 miles northwest of Sacramento, the capital city of California. Yolo has a ZIP Code of 95697 and its area code 530. The community sits at an elevation of 82 feet (25 m) above sea level. In 2020, about 421 people lived there.
