Mark-Anthony Greene, known by his stage name Skrizzy (and previously as Young Scrap), is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. His song "Love L.A" from his Faded Ambition album reached No. 18 on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks in July 2016. He also helped write a song for V.I.C. that charted on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Skrizzy's Early Life and Music Career

Skrizzy performed with famous artists like Debbie Allen and Savion Glover before moving to Maryland. During his second year of high school, he released his first album, Puppy Power, with his uncle's record label. In 2008, he signed a deal with Universal Music Group. Under this label, he released the song "The Melody," which was very popular with music fans.

Chart Success and New Music

On September 12, 2016, Skrizzy released the first part of his "Music We Can ... To" series, which included guest appearances from well-known rappers like Yo Gotti and V.I.C. His song "Love L.A," produced by Jahlil Beats, reached No. 18 on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks in July 2016.

In August 2016, he released a mixtape called Faded Ambition. This mixtape featured Lil Wayne and had music produced by DJ Mustard and Jahlil Beats. Skrizzy also released Trill and B in June 2016, a project he had started recording in 2014.

Overcoming Challenges and Returning to Music

In 2016, Skrizzy's music career faced a challenge when he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He also temporarily lost his voice, which meant he couldn't release new music for two years.

However, Skrizzy made a strong return on June 21, 2020, releasing several new songs. One of these was "Undercover ...", which featured the rapper 24hrs. The music website HotNewHipHop noted that both artists sang about relationship issues in the song.

After another break, Skrizzy released "Troublesome" on July 11, 2021. This song featured South Carolina rapper Renni Rucci. HotNewHipHop praised the song, saying Skrizzy and Renni Rucci were a "perfect duo."

Skrizzy announced plans for an R&B album titled I'm Not Toxic, You Are, which was released on July 26, 2024. He also planned a rap album, I'm Not A Rapper 2, released on October 25, 2024.
