Zöe Elizabeth Lucker (born on April 11, 1974) is a talented English actress. She is well-known for playing many memorable characters on TV. Some of her most famous roles include Tanya Turner in the drama series Footballers' Wives, Vanessa Gold in the soap opera EastEnders, Carol Barry in Waterloo Road, and Reenie McQueen in Hollyoaks.

Learning to Act
Zöe's Early Training
Zöe Lucker went to Huddersfield New College for her education. She loved acting and decided to study it further. She attended Oscars Academy of Performing Arts in Huddersfield. Later, she continued her acting studies at the Manchester Arden School of Theatre.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting with Footballers' Wives
In 2002, Zöe Lucker began playing the role of Tanya Turner in the ITV drama series Footballers' Wives. This role made her very popular. In 2004, she won a TV Quick and TV Choice Award for Best Actress for her work as Tanya Turner. She was also nominated for a National Television Award for Most Popular Actress.
Other TV Shows and Plays
After Footballers' Wives, Zöe appeared in other TV shows. In 2005, she toured New Zealand in a play called Then Comes Love. She also played the main role in a series called Bombshell for ITV1. She was also in the BBC drama series HolbyBlue, where she played Kate Keenan. In 2009, Zöe appeared on the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and won £150,000 for charity.
Dancing on Strictly Come Dancing
In September 2009, Zöe Lucker joined the popular TV show Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan. They performed many different dances and earned high scores from the judges. Even though they had one of the highest average scores, they were eliminated from the competition on October 31. Zöe later took part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour in 2010.

In March 2010, Zöe joined the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She played the character Vanessa Gold until October 2011. In June 2012, she joined Waterloo Road as Carol Barry. Carol was the strong mother of a family from Liverpool.
In February 2015, Zöe Lucker joined the cast of Hollyoaks. She played Reenie McQueen, a character described as a fun-loving party girl who was also very vulnerable. Reenie was involved in a very important and serious storyline. Zöe left the role in June 2016. In January 2024, Zöe shared that she was taking a break from acting.

Zöe Lucker is engaged to her partner, James Herbert, who is a film editor. They have a daughter together, who was born in September 2008.
