Some of her well-known roles include Tanya Turner in the drama series Footballers' Wives. Zöe Lucker grew up in Huddersfield, England. She went to Huddersfield New College for her education. Later, she studied acting at the Oscars Academy of Performing Arts in Huddersfield. She continued her acting studies at the Manchester Arden School of Theatre.

Becoming Tanya Turner in Footballers' Wives
In 2002, Zöe started playing the role of Tanya Turner in the ITV drama series Footballers' Wives. This role made her very popular. In 2004, she won a TV Quick and TV Choice Award for Best Actress for her work as Tanya. She was also nominated for a National Television Award for Most Popular Actress.
Other TV Shows and Plays
After Footballers' Wives, Zöe appeared in other TV shows. In 2005, she toured New Zealand with the play Then Comes Love. She also played the main role in Bombshell for ITV1. This series was only shown in New Zealand. She also appeared in the BBC drama series HolbyBlue as Kate Keenan. In 2009, Zöe appeared on the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? She won £150,000 for the Caron Keating Foundation charity.
Dancing on Strictly Come Dancing
In September 2009, Zöe Lucker joined series 7 of Strictly Come Dancing as a contestant. Her co-star from Footballers' Wives, Laila Rouass, was also on the show. Zöe was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan. They performed very well and often received high scores from the judges. However, they were eliminated on October 31 after a dance-off. Zöe later took part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour in 2010 across the UK.
Later Soap Opera Roles
In March 2010, Zöe joined the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She played the character Vanessa Gold until October 2011. In June 2012, Zöe joined Waterloo Road. She played Carol Barry, a strong mother from a family in Liverpool. In February 2015, Zöe joined Hollyoaks to play Reenie McQueen. Reenie was described as a fun-loving character who sometimes made mistakes. Zöe's last appearance as Reenie was on June 30, 2016. In 2024, Zöe mentioned that she was taking a break from acting.
Personal Life
Zöe Lucker is engaged to her partner, James Herbert. He works as a film editor. They have a daughter, who was born in September 2008.
