Zach Woods (born September 25, 1984) is an American actor and comedian. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. These include Gabe Lewis in The Office, Jared Dunn in Silicon Valley, Zach Harper in Playing House, and Matt Spencer in Avenue 5. He also appeared in Veep and The Afterparty.

Early Life and Education
Zach Woods was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He is Jewish. His father is a doctor who helps people with their thoughts and feelings. His mother is a nurse. Zach is the middle child in his family. He has an older brother and a younger sister.
When he was younger, Zach went to a summer camp called Interlochen Center for the Arts in 1997 and 1998. He grew up in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He finished high school at Pennsbury High School in 2003. Later, he went to New York University.
Acting Career
Zach Woods started doing improv comedy when he was just 16 years old. He performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He was part of a comedy group called "The Stepfathers." Other members included Bobby Moynihan and Chris Gethard. Zach has also taught improv at different universities.
He has appeared in several movies, such as In the Loop and The Other Guys. He was also in some funny online videos for CollegeHumor. You might remember him as "Awkward Boy" from a YouTube video series. In 2010, he even played a zombie in a commercial for Starburst candy!
Famous TV Roles
Zach became very well-known for playing Gabe Lewis on the NBC comedy show The Office. He joined the show in 2010. By the seventh season, he became a regular cast member.
From 2014 to 2019, he co-starred as Jared on HBO's Silicon Valley. This show was about people working in the tech world. He also had a role as Ed Webster in another HBO series, Veep.
In January 2020, Zach started playing Matt Spencer in the science-fiction comedy TV series Avenue 5. This show is about a space cruise ship.
Movie Appearances
Zach has also been in several movies. He had a role in the action comedy Spy in 2015. He also appeared in the movie Ghostbusters in 2016. He has lent his voice to animated films too. He voiced Zane in The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017) and Carl in The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019).
